Kaal Bhairav is considered the protector of Kashi. Devotees traditionally visit this temple early in their Varanasi pilgrimage to receive the guardian's blessings for a safe and meaningful stay in the holy city.

Sundays and Ashtami tithi. Visit before other temple darshan as per local tradition.
